Most businesses in UP's religious centres like Varanasi and Ayodhya are being taken over by Gujaratis under BJP rule.
This is a case of Gujarat centric policies of the BJP. An example of exclusionary development.
This could alternatively be done in an inclusive manner where local boaters can form a cooperative and take loans to buy steamers. This will provide a higher return to locals supporting other local businesses and provide higher local employment to top executives positions and most of all prevent small boaters from losing their livelihoods.
