WhyDRS does not appear in search results of Lemmy.world
Hey all,
I was searching for whydrs on lemmy.world and it does not show up when I search with those keywords. If I just type drs it does, but shouldn't it appear with whydrs as well?
I believe a community won't show up in the extended network until a lemmy.world user makes a post or comment on that community on the home instance.
Similar to how only communities whynotdrs users have interacted with will natively appear in our instance search at first. Has something to do with how Lemmy instances cache each other.
I'm pretty sure it's subscription based.. When we subscribe to a community on lemmy.world it gets cached here.. So if a lemmy.world account subscribed here it will start showing up in their searches and on their all feed.
If that's the case, even easier! Great news!
