There are some very noticeable interface changes. Looks much cleaner imo.

It was... Transparent for me on Linux
what do you mean by that? I'm also on Linux but I've been to into tears of the kingdom to try the new steam lol
Saying it's literally transparent for me
i'm on Kubuntu 22.04 and it's normal for me, got the new UI update, it's not transparent
