You do understand the concept of treaties, alliances, and pacts, correct?
You do understand the importance of maintaining your reputation as a nation, correct? So honoring those treaties, alliances, and pacts is important, correct?
You also understand that nobody else but America and Europe are looking out for the civilians there, correct? And without us involved there would be a whole shitload more civilian deaths on both sides, but you get that right?
So I'm going to assume you're a smart person that understands these things and say that your idea of "just pull out" isn't going to do anything but damage our reputation amongst our enemies and allies, while also letting things get drastically worse, correct?
Because at the end of the day it's mostly the US and Europe who are the power brokers who want peace and stability, the other power brokers, as in Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Iran, Ruzzia, and China, want the Chaos because they buy into the "chaos is a ladder" theory of politics, and if those guys take over leading the world we're going to be on a drastically darker path where things like slavery are the norn and human rights activists are murdered even more routinely than they already are, which obviously would not bode well for the rest of us.

Absolutely. However, continuing to provide lethal aid that Israel turns around and immediately commits war crimes with isn't helping our reputation at all. If we just provided iron dome missiles and other defense measures, I would have no problem. But a treaty or alliance isn't carte blanche to commit genocide.
Again you're sounding like you don't understand treaties, pacts, and alliances.
We're bound to Israel, and because they are a sovereign nation we can't just tell them what to do, but because of our agreements with them we're on the hook to provide support for them, just like they would be on the hook to support us if asked.
When you look at the timing of December 7th and who backs Hamas you should realize that this is all a coordinated plot, the architects of December 7th knew that they would get Israel to overreact and get us sucked into this no win situation with backing or not backing Israel. Now my big question about this plot is really 'was Netanyahu in on the plot?' because there's some good evidence that he was, and if he was then there is no amount of being a good ally that will help us get Netanyahu to stop, because that would mean that Netanyahu is actually playing for the other team, playing against us.
So that's my somewhat paranoid take on the situation, and my point in bringing this up is that you're absolutely right, we should isolate and back off of the situation, but because of what matters in the world and the geopolitics that goes with what matters we can't, which sucks, because to me and the way I see it, this is all a trap to weaken the West, our standing in the world, and throw power to the global Far Right/Fascists, because at the end of the day, nobody at all cares about the poor common people of the Middle East, not their leaders, not ours, and certainly not the Far Right/Fascist crowd, just pawns caught in a game far larger than they are, as they have been for centuries.
I mean I agree with your second paragraph minus the last step. I think netanyahu is just a genocidal nutjob that wants to wipe out Palestine rather than orchestrate some grand plot to drag the US into another war. But no, I vehemently disagree with the first statement. Just because we are allies with Israel doesn't mean we must unconditionally support them. We have a treaty with Ukraine signed in 1993 that says we'll support and defend their sovereignty, but we still condition aid on it not being used to strike Russian soil. Not to mention Israel is violating so fucking many international laws. It's irresponsible to aid that.
And again, unconditional support and even rhetorical cover makes us look like we're Israel's bitch. The world is already laughing. Nazis are having a fucking field day.
