As someone who was looking to ditch Three later this year, I don’t know if this a good thing or not.
1 0 ReplyUpside: Might lead to (marginal) coverage improvements for users of either network as the infrastructure is consolidated.
Downsides: Less competition/choice for consumers. Risk of job losses as some positions deemed surplus. Vodafone have a reputation for tax-avoidance.
A previous attempt to merge Three and O2 was blocked by regulators but they allowed the Orange/T-Mobile merger.
