We've been in a recession for the past year

"People think that good employment numbers mean we are not in a recession while it actually means the exact opposite, people need to go back to work after retiring in order to pay their bills and shit. GDP is an absolutely shit measurement that is easily manipulated just like unemployment. Inflation has made it seem like we’re not in a recession because it was so rampant in 2020-2022. Any measurement that isn’t adjusted for inflation is invalid.

To add, the Nasdaq and the AI pump hype is absolutely meaningless when it comes to the real economy. The monetary tightening began almost exactly a year ago."
