Experimenting with using shapes inspired by automotive design as a basis for jewelry pieces. This one’s a pendant.

Besides the gem setting it's made with SubDs in Rhino. I made the basic shape out of simple faces, offset it and added/deleted/moved around various edges to refine the shape. After that I converted it to nurbs and added other details. Top row has subd smoothing turned off, bottom row has it on. Two images on the right are nurbs, shown with and without emap.
