Wish for the best for him. If nothing else, the kid is regularly bet on himself. This is a pretty big bet, but hopefully a change of scenery in a different combination of surroundings and lineup can help him produce more.

He was given more chances at breaking into the league than most young players could ever dream of. Hopefully this is what he needs to become a good NHLer.
Good point. He may still not make it in the NHL, but I also don't necessarily agree with the coaching philosophy of trying to coach everyone the same. Both Blashill and Lalonde constantly harp on defense first. I think there should be room for one or two guys to be offense first to put the other team on their toes. The other four guys on the ice should be able to cover for one or two guys on a team. But what do I know, I'm not a NHL coach.
