How there are no consequences for politicians lying or being inept

If there were consequences like jail time, the world would be a much better place.

The consequence is that people are supposed to stop voting for politicians that lie or are inept.

However, politics is now a team sport. As Nancy Pelosi once said, "This glass of water would win with a D next to its name in those districts".
