This afternoon I’ve got my citizenship ceremony, then we are off to the pub. Can’t ask for much more!
Hope everyone has a fab Wednesday. Xx

Congrats. Welcome.
We now have someone to turn the lights off!!
Just joking. I’m having a pint for you. Well done in passing all the stupid paperwork.
3 0 ReplyReally appreciate that!! Although I was a bit offended to see a letter from the current Home Secretary in my “welcome” pack. 🤣🤣
2 0 ReplyI can only imagine the "don't get too comfy" style messaging you'd get currently.
2 0 ReplyYeh, she can 0 one 2 one do one. Like most of this government and most of the opposition.

How long did the whole thing take from when you got your Life in the UK test sorted?
3 1 ReplyNot long but I did pay for super priority on my ILR application because the 6 month processing time freaked me out.
Got ILR in January, applied for citizenship in feb (biometrics late March as I waited for a free appointment) approval on 19th June and ceremony was today.

That's an automatic pass of your UK citizenship right there!
3 1 ReplyHaha cheers mate 🍻
2 0 ReplyIt's also the secret last test: as they hand over the certificate they ask wherr you are going next and if you don't answer correctly, you start over again. Acceptable answers include: the pub, a carvery, and to feed some ducks. The booby trap answer is: a game of cricket.
