So, fellow mechwarriors, what are you doing to store your mechs safely? I recently backed the mercenaries kickstarter, and I anticipate having dozens of mechs to store nicely. Right now I have them jammed into a plano box, but it's going to get small fast. Has anyone found a better, erm, dropship?
I was able to get a ton of foam blocks from a local furniture store. I cut out squares from that, got a large suitcase, glued in the foam and covered it with stickers. It has worked great for the past 6 months to and from the local hobby shop on game nights.
My job started throwing away all the assisted listening devices in our office, so I grabbed them all. Now I have three cases I just have to fit two more of them with pick and pluck foam for my ever expanding collection. Unrelated, but does anyone need any assisted listening receivers?
I use a Plano box for going to games, with a set of stackable DeWalt organizer cases for storage and hauling larger groups around.
That said, I still have a ton of stuff in their original boxes or on the paint desk, so I haven't officially confirmed that I'll be able to fit all my Kickstarter stuff into this solution -_-;
Honestly what I would love is if someone would make something exactly like that, but not butt ugly so that I could leave it on my desk and my wife wouldn't complain.
I have no clue when I'll get around to painting my grey official minis, so I store them in a cardboard box loose ><
My painted 3D printed guys I found a plastic container I found with lots of small bays.
