I have a set of Bose QuietComfort earbuds I wear daily for workouts. I finally killed them and in the market for something new. I'm looking for higher end name-brand earbuds which would work for my exercising needs (bicycle rides, and gym workouts). ANC is necessary (but pretty common on all the top brands/TWS earbuds these days).
I was thinking about the Bose QC2 as it would be the logical upgrade, but I've heard mix reviews about them and I can't figure out if it was just a bad batch of earbuds or if it's a poorly designed product.
I guess the Sony XM4's would be a logical alternative but I don't know how comfortable they are for exercising
I wear AirPod pros and I know there’s a lot of mixed feelings around apple but they have relatively good sound quality while being very low profile. The battery life is fantastic and the ANC isn’t half bad either. They stay in my ears great during workouts.
I used to be very hesitant about earbuds with those types of squishy tips but I got used to it quickly.
I also use AirPod pros, for like everything, including workouts (when I’m stuck in the gym instead of outside).
Noise cancelling is great. It’s obviously not perfect, but it works very well (kids obnoxious high pitched squeals are the biggest one that gets through, but it would on just about any headphone).
They are pretty comfy once you get the right tip on them. They stay in pretty well. I can move around a lot, bend over, squats, all that. The only real time I find myself having to push them back in is when I’m running on the treadmill pretty hard. I’ve actually had one fall out, hit the treadmill, and become a little missile. It survived without a scratch.
Sound quality is pretty amazing for how tiny the thing is. I’m pretty impressed with the range (with realistic expectations).
The are surprisingly durable. Mine have gotten wet, as I said, been a little missile, in my pockets bouncing around, been dropped, I think I also stepped on one of these ones. The case is also nice and durable. Definitely dropped that thing a few times.
The battery life is great, and the mag charging case makes it even easier to charge.
They pair with my watch and I don’t need me phone to listen to stored music (on the watch). Super convenient.
