It would be cool to see a video breakdown of how this design is supposed to work. How anyone could hit anything like that seems impossible. Lol
Looks rather simple, the gun itself doesn't change shape, only the cover. Looks like there's a small periscope for aiming.
It took a long time imagining it, but then I'm out of ideas why it's not monolithic. Having two eyesights and running with a weird angled gun aren't as a problem as servicing that thing and rely on it. But just like OP I would've seen a vif of how and why it's that way.
