Normalize turning on DND permanently.
Years ago, I read a great piece of advice (they were talking about a home landline, but the meaning still applies): “The telephone is there for your convenience, not the caller’s.”
Bingo.
I have people who I actually want to receive calls from on the "pass through" list, but when I just want to relax? Everyone else goes straight to voicemail.
I usually do that. Why not... Fuck everyone that expects me to change my life for them. Those aren't friends.
