Energy Secretary Steven Chu announced that the Department of Energy is also lending $5.9 billion to Ford to retool factories in five states. Nissan will receive $1.6 billion to refurbish a factory in Tennessee to produce electric cars.
Alameda County Superior Court Judge Noël Wise said Wednesday the workers should be allowed to proceed with class action status because Tesla’s alleged “pattern or practice” of failing to take reasonable steps to prevent discrimination was a common issue for all the Black workers at the Fremont plant.
Sounds pretty fucked up and newsworthy but should probably be it's own post. Not sure what this has to do with the loan.
