Default Profile Pictures: Yes? No? Something else?

I recently made a PR for default PFPs. I was thinking of using using a priority of user set pfp > instance default pfp > Lemmy lemming. Is this something people would actually want?

Edit: randomly generated pfps could work too.

It would make the web UI look better to me.
I sometimes just don't know where to look for things and when I see a circle with a picture I know the text on the right is a username. Also helps with reading comments if the colors are different...
An alternative would be to give me the choice to hide all PFPs to make the UI homogeneous...
