Looking for a Reddit alternative? Lemmy tell you, they currently kinda suck

I tried out a growing Reddit alternative, Lemmy, for a week, and its clear that federated apps aren't ready to replace Reddit yet.

Found this article floating around on android authority, and IDK how to feel about it?

It does read like their expectations were way too high. But they are right that this isn’t casual user friendly yet. I do hope we get there, I’d like this place to stay active.
- It took me about a week to grasp the basics of Lemmy and the fediverse. I enjoy the communities and feel like a lot of the comments are more engaging and useful. Hopefully, those big content creators will make the switch, if they haven't already. Meanwhile, I'll continue to try and do my part to be the change I want to see.
