That would be so cool. I often dream about taking pictures of wonderful landscapes, but the phone has always some kind of problem that prevent me to do so. Sometimes I also have the explicit thought of "damn, too bad I'm in a dream and it won't save to my phone anyway".
Yeah, it's weird that your brain always avoids the thing. Same with going to the toilet in dreams. I wonder what trains your brain to avoid the thing.
