More or less, this is exactly what I was expecting. Quick-fire scenes with added content to connect them, plus a bit of reshuffling to make the episode flow a little better. Surprised by the scene they chose to open on, but it makes sense. I am happy.
I worry with adaptations of series with short chapters like this, that the constant cutting and transitioning will turn people off. Sometimes the transitions can be quite jarring and pull viewers out of it. This episode wasn't too bad about it which gives me hope that people will stick with it. One of the worst at this I have seen was probably "The Family Circumstances of the Irregular Witch" where they would have transition scenes and then cut back right to the exact same scene.
