But seriously, this game quickly became one of my all time favorites. Similar to the Dark Souls series, I initially gave up on this game after a few hours, only to pick it back up again a couple years later and absolutely loving it.
To me the best part of the game was the exploration. Not finding out where you are and discovering new areas and enemies, that feeling of relief when you find some singing bug, it was an unforgettable experience.
The combat mechanics are simple, but they can get pretty fun.

Nightmare King Grimm and Sisters of Battle
have become some of my favorite boss fights ever, mostly due to the rhythm and pacing of the battles.
The toughest achievements on this one for me were the Pantheon of Hallownest and the Coliseum of Fools. In the Coliseum, I died a lot in the final trial, particularly in that part with the two walls creating a tight space, no platform, spikes, and a swarm of mosquitos and maybe aspids as well. And the Pantheon... well, it's the Pantheon...
Another game that got me a very similar vibe to HK was Ori and the Will of the Wisps. I played Ori on gamepass, though, so no achievements for me. Maybe some day I'll try to play it again on steam for the 100%.
Anyway, that's it for the 1st showcase here. I'll try to post the ones I currently have every other day. Feel free to comment and post your own achievements too ^^
Wow that's impressive! I gave up on some of those harder bosses you listed. Have you tried Ori and the Blind Forest or just Will of the Wisps? I've been meaning to try both of those games.
Thanks. Some of the bosses were indeed pretty insane. NKG is probably the boss that I killed and died to the most in this game, I got addicted to 'dancing' with him lol
I did play both Ori games back to back. Blind Forest is a beautiful game, I would say the story there is a lot better than in Will of the Wisps. It's more of a pure plataformer game though. There's a orb that follows you around and that is what kills most enemies. Will of the Wisps has a more noticable Hollow Knight feel in both the exploration and combat. Blind Forest is also a bit shorter, I think I beat it in like 6 hours vs around 17~25 hours for Will of the Wisps. I definetly recommend you both of them.
Yeah NKG is one I gave up on. His "dance" was just too fast paced for me and I couldn't keep up. I'll revisit the game someday and give it another try.
Sounds like both games would be worth checking out! Thanks for the input!
