Small insignificant rant. I browse news.com.au. I'm not going to apologise. I want to know if anyone's died or if anything has been recalled. I don't bother about any of the other shit. Occasionally though something might catch my eye. Which brings me to my next rant.
Macca's. Now I love a cheese burger, filet-o-fish and nuggets like any other little piggy but when times are tough and all you have to offer is your shitty little sauces I have to ask "is that it?". How about bringing back your loose change menu? How about your 24 nuggets for $10? Stop with the crumb throwing. Show as a decent deal.
They may do it every now and then but not permanently. Unless you’re using the Maccas app (which I hear sometimes has nice deals? Idk I don’t use it, just heard from other people) Maccas isn’t cheap anymore. And I’m not talking inflation, it stopped being the quick cheap fast food option about 3-4 years ago? Maybe more 3? I only eat Maccas if I’m craving for something in particular like occasionally a Big Mac or filo o fish or apple pie. Heck have you seen how expensiv, if you like the taste of the cookies just get a packet of malt o milk at colesworth, they taste quite similar. They’re about the same price (cheaper on sale, so grab a few) they just won’t have the Maccas character etched on it.
I use the hungry jacks app with the shake and win.
Sometimes you can get a BBQ cheeseburger for a dollar if you get lucky.
Maccas has some horrible deals on it, also some of them are personalised to your spending habits so some people hold multiple accounts to get deals by leaving it inactive for a few months.
It’s not great value for money, especially since the other day I got that tin of herring and slapped it between two pieces of bread and that was cheaper than buying a cheese burger.
That ton of herring alone had more meat in it than a maccas cheeseburger has which is really sad.
I do miss the loose change days where you could grab something for a dollar.
I recently ate a cheeseburger from maccas because it was a birthday freebie and it was pretty sad and small.
I just think that a billion dollar company should be giving us a little bit more than "try our new sauces". How about a good deal to go with those sauces you tight-arses?
Also to add to your rant I get stupid emails about getting 10 dollar savings from Woolworths…if I buy 170 dollars worth of groceries in one shot for pickup or direct to boot.
170 dollars?! Are they insane?
Edit: we still have Warner playing and we’re going in with no spinners. Hope we’ll be ok to handle the opposition.
