Ooo I haven't heard of that term. Fun fact I learned a while ago: something like 90% of people that pick up a guitar will quit within the first year. However, those that stick with it will spend on average $10k over their lives on equipment.
That's actually pretty cheap over a lifetime.
I own 5 guitars, and gave one away. Have had 2 amps, a little fender practice amp and a bigger marshall amp.
Been playing for 30 years or so( purely as a hobby and not with much intent to master it)
Ive probably spent less than 3000 CDN as much of it was gifted or family handme downs/family rates.
My eldest brother, definately spent more than 10k on his music habbit (thanks for old gear bro!)
