My phone has a limiter to charge to a specific percent. I have mine set to 81 and get a notification when it reaches 81 and another when it reaches 30 so i can plug in.
I loved redreader, but nuked my account and content in protest and use Thunder for lemmy exclusively now. Before I used Mastodon and Reddit was the only corporate social media I used and now I use no corporate social media at all.
Then again, people need to learn not to keep their money on exchanges. That is a very poor security practice.
T-Mobile has yet to take possession of the 2.5 GHz spectrum that it acquired via auction in 2022 to fill holes in rural territories across the U.S., but it’s ready to roll when it does become avail | Chatting about a range of topics, T-Mobile President of Technology Ulf Ewaldsson described how T-Mob...
Personally, i use LibreSpeed from F-Droid
I prefer rhvoice, because while it is not particularly great, I find it to be better than e-speak.
Rhvoice or espeak from fdroid
Again, centralized exchanges are like public toilets. Get in, do your business, and get the fuck out. This is a good argument against KYC as well, since if they don't have data, they can't leak data.
Don't let the weight of the relationship settle on your shoulders.
[MEGATHREAD] Speedtests Feb 2024
Welcome to this month's speedtest megathread. Yep, you heard that right, it's time to shoff your speeds.
Format
Location (city, state), Downlink, Uplink, Device, Notes. An example would look like this: "Minneapolis, MN, 554 down, 31 up, Google Pixel 7a, taken in downtown".
Rules
- No screenshots. They take up valuable server space, require more bandwidth, and are not accessible to screen reader users.
- If you live in a small town or rural area please fudge your location a little. As an example if i lived in Olive Hill, Ky (population 1580) I might use Grayson, Ky (population 3834) instead.
Mp3s back when they were like 300kb. This would have been 2003 or so.
To the best of my knowledge, my friend does not have Prime, but I am not totally sure on that. I just don't have an Amazon account at all.
Lol, i never thought of them as a dealer, but i like it
Thanks, I will check them out, though, that only being level 1 could be a problem.
I don't even have an Amazon account anymore. If I need something, I just give the money to a friend and have them order it for me. Definitely saves me money because I don't want to go through the hassle of doing that for most things.
Exactly. I don't have a physical key because I would want one that has open source hardware and software.
According to the article, it has happened in Europe as well.
And this is why smart people don't use text message to factor authentication, if at all possible. App based OTP is much safer
It used to be way worse. Now it's common to get updates within 10 days of their release, where before it used to be more like 20. So it has definitely improved quite a bit in the last couple of years.
I remember putting songs on floppy disks and it could hold like 7 or 8 depending on the size of the song. I want to say that I had one of those double floppies or whatever that could store 1.5 megabytes.
Fennec F-Droid and Mull 122 have been released
Not too bad. Eight days after the official Firefox release is not terrible.
The headline is a gross overstatement. Sure, a UK law could stop Apple from leasing security updates in the UK, but not worldwide. That's bullshit. Apple would very likely just tell the UK to fuck off.
First, dont demand bitcoin, second dont attempt to "cash out". I have my opinion on just how I would do this, but will not say.
T-Mobile US management raised eyebrows by stating the carrier was potentially looking at an acquisition of a rival or fiber assets.

But if you would not use this, then why do you champion millimeter wave? When it's the exact same thing, 1% of the time you might use it. The other 99% it's useless.
For the past two years, T-Mobile has been adding more than 500,000 FWA customers to its network every quarter. Now, though, company officials believe that figure will slip to 400,000. Here's why.
T-Mobile continues to rake in new smartphone and fixed wireless customers. But company officials suggested the operator may take steps to raise prices in the same way its rivals have done.
how does the ddos mitigation system work
I can't figure out which one it is. Does the service actually still get all the ddos flood and just drop them until a request comes in with the correct PoW level, or does the browser/daemon somehow calculate the PoW and only send the request when its reached. I don't see how the second one would work because your browser would not know if the service was under attack. But the first option still requires the service to get the request and then spend a little time dropping it instead of serving it.

Firefox android 124 has gone into alpha
This means 123 is now beta and 122 giving the ability to visit ipv6 sites (which i am looking forward to) should be out soon. Then its just a matter of waiting for Fennec F-Droid to be built and released.
why do some addresses work while others dont
I am on a tor site and it has 2 links to an i2p site. The first says "I2P [b32]" and has a link of http://acruexirfkgcqhwxyu75v7dtahr3a44hmbfygngsvubmkrbd6axa.b32.i2p/. This link works in my browser configured for i2p. The second link just says "I2P" and has a url of http://mysu.i2p/ which fails to load. Any ideas?

Price Lock is great to have if you're a T-Mobile customer, but starting tomorrow, it's becoming worse for new users.
New customers looking to switch to T-Mobile's service will be paying more, and there is no longer a promise that the carrier won't raise rates again in the future.
"Duel to the Death" by Judith A l. Jance
I just finished this and figured it was worth sharing.
"After taking down the man responsible for his best friend's death, Stuart Ramey finds himself left with a multimillion-dollar fortune in Bitcoin. It's a desperate bid by Frigg, a rogue A.I. program created by the killer, to keep itself from being fully deactivated."
should the US consider a currency redenomination?
Prices of things are becoming absolutely insane. $800+ rent, $30,000 cars, $10 sub sandwiches, etc. It would be nice to do a 3/1 split and cut everything by 2/3. Then we would have $266 rent, $10,000 cars, and $3.33 sub sandwiches. Wages, debts, everything would drop to 1/3 what they are now. It would also make coins useful again since a vending machine soda would be 2 quarters again.
