Sometimes when you translate something into another medium, a weakness you might have overlooked is exposed.
Conservatives, I understand. They're sick, and toxic, but they fight for what they believe in. Which is why we have to defeat them, and why we have to fight back so hard.
But Liberals, man, I just don't get it. Like zero goddamn fight in them. No political will. Not in my lifetime anyway. "Hey we're kinda less shitty than fascists, vote Democrat."
And I have to, but like, only to keep from sliding into the abyss in my own lifetime. So inspiring. Time to start over.

The genre doesn't lend itself particularly to restfulness. It's too high energy. I like it for that, and fit it in accordingly.
Gothic and symphonic metal became and remain a huge part of my listening routine. It hit at just the right time in early adulthood. I listen to a moderately diverse set of genres but those fun, dark, and catchy styles have always brought me joy.
There was a particular easy listening station when I was a kid that played 60s, 70s, and 80s folk, soft rock, motown, and other singer-songwriter stuff that helped me deal with the anxiety of fighting parents and the deathly silence in between.
These days I listen to old episodes of MST3K or Rifftrax on YT, Best of the Worst, or one of the myriad of "oldies playing quietly in the next room and it's raining" that you can easily find.
My mind still races at night. I eventually made a playlist to recreate that old radio station vibe. It doesn't hit the same way it used to.
No, I don't have close friends. I prefer not to touch or be touched anyway, particularly by other men.
I don't mind if it became more socially acceptable, probably would be healthier overall. As long as it's also acceptable to be able to request no touching.

If we're going to armchair this;
A much more reasonable response would be to apologize for whatever stupid, insulting, insensitive thing he said to cause her to throw something at him, if in fact she did so, rather than escalate violence.
Another response might be to walk away and use some of your investment money to buy a new jacket.
Or, if you wanna get all Biblical, eye for an eye, he could have thrown a drink right back. That seems reasonable to me.
But yeah, no, broken nose. Fair enough.
No wonder we get so easily distracted from the main quest. It's just so vague and directionless. Lazy writing from the developer.
