I was like 6 years old when my dad randomly told me that if a player dies during a football game, the others players have to eat him before the game can continue.
I never watched sports so I didn't even question it lol
Hah I had that exact same experience with Godot
That's the thing, in Finland they can't, they'd freeze to death otherwise.
No growth is bad for the investors/stakeholders who make money from that growth, so the issue is probably more pronounced in public companies, but definitely not limited to them.
Agreed. The writing and acting of RDR2 are amazing, but as a whole, the story of the game kind of felt empty in the end. I think I might revisit the game later to see if I'll enjoy it more, but I just don't see Arthur as that great of a character from a narrative viewpoint. After the first couple times Dutch's "plans" failed I started to really question why Arthur, or any of the other gang members really, would continue trusting him so blindly. I think that may have broken my immersion even more than the restrictive mission design where I also murdered like a thousand people.
A big bowl of japanese curry and rice is hard to beat
Yeah, and there's a a lot of games on Steam that would never get approved by a publisher, especially the smallest of indie games. Besides, if you have the means to get a finished game on Steam without a publisher, you get to keep all revenue to yourself instead of losing ~50% to a publisher.
I almost 2 hours into it, and it's really good so far. Quite similar to Firewatch in all the good ways.
Edit: just finished it after a couple more hours, really liked it.
I'm guessing you know about HyruleGuessr already, because that's the exact thing you're describing!
That's funny because I moved to the Netherlands yesterday, from Finland lol.
It's my own design that I modeled in Blender, but I might've been inspired by Nausicaä, it's one of my favorite movies!
Just a simple little house I made on the server
I just got on the community server a couple days ago and it's been real quiet, but it's fun to see what other people have built!
It's my first time going back to a beta version since the game actually was in beta, and I'm surprised how nice it is to play after being completely used to modern Minecraft.
I'm guessing Google Play handles things on a case-by-case basis for apps that are more popular
I like to keep mine clean, but the Duolingo widget is a bit of an eyesore right now
I'm using Lines Free for icons, and Custom Search Bar Widget for my custom search bar widget
I made this on Lemmy's r/place
Lemmy's version of r/place is live and I made the logo's outlines, go fill it in!

+1 for Metro Exodus. I'm a little surprised that it comes up in discussions like this so rarely. I'm a huge fan of post-apocalyptic settings so I might be biased, but it's easily one of my favorite games ever.
