Is it just me or did anyone else became a more avid poster since joining lemmy?
On reddit I was a lurker that posted like once or twice a year, but ever since joining lemmy I've started posting multiple times a day.

Absolutely, this feels less intimidating in a way. I've probably commented more here at the fediverse over the last few weeks then my whole time at Reddit
I feel this way too! I started out active on Reddit (like 11 years ago damn I’m old) but then it started to get so big I just didn’t feel comfortable posting anymore. It’s been an adjustment to actually participate here lol
I just felt like there was such a high chance that I'd be met with hostility whenever I posted over there. The Fedi seems much more chill for now.
For most of my reddit time, I've only really commented in smaller subreddits. I'd mostly stay subbed to the bigger ones, but once a sub hit a certain size making a comment was a roulette wheel of either getting massively popular, massively flamed, or spitting into an abyss completely unnoticed.
