A collaborative network based in Tairāwhiti is investigating health benefits
Exciting news today that my collaborators have been granted the first licence in NZ to cultivate Psilocybe ‘magic mushrooms’ for use in helping addiction to methamphetamine. I am providing advice on the mushrooms. #mycology 🧪
That's the name that stuck in the late 90s/early 2000s when it became a thing in NZ. I think because at the time it was mostly made from psuedoephedrine (which the govt has since banned, our cold medicines are terrible as a result).
Nowadays you see it called meth a bit more but the nickname has stuck around
I can apparently remember an unimportant detail I read in an article over 20 years ago, but can't remember the name of the person in front of me who just told me their name.
This is me.
In meetings with clients/suppliers I lay out their business cards in the order they're sat at the table.
Then we all get up and have a walking tour around the facility, and I'm screwed until we get back to the board room.
But I'll never forget their face.
