For some reason, I cannot subscribe to this community

I hit the subscribe and it says "subscribe pending." I could subscribe to other channels but not this one. Do I need to get manual approvals?

I'm able to subscribe but I'm on lemmy.ml. Maybe it's a lemmy.world problem?
- Yep. Same here.
- Yeah had the issue on world. Waited a couple days and unsub/resub and it went in.
  
  Sure it'll get worse before it gets better with all the new friends incoming
