And is it too much to ask the fediverse to contain a pterodactyl, triceratops, and saber tooth tiger themed apps?

Mastodons lived like 30 million years after dinosaurs...
And thus even the earliest mastodons lived closer to humans than to dinosaurs. The latest mastodons had the unfortunate fate of living together with humans.
And pterodactyls weren't dinosaurs. Pterodons were though....I think
Nope, neither were, they're both flying reptiles in the Pterosaur clade. They did live alongside dinosaurs though.
