How do comments that are posted originally on lemmy show up on Mastadon?

Edit: Just to clarify, I know that it's possible but i want to know if it looks different from a comment originally posted in Mastadon. Also now I'm curious if edits like this show up correctly?
- @Tai I follow a magazine then see all comments posted to that magazine. You tap into a comment and it shows the conversation thread. I’m using @ivory on my phone.
