Regulation feels hopeless.
It's a matter of time until it becomes simple to create an AI at home, let alone get one from elsewhere.0 0 ReplyYes, but it's still necessary even if it will be hard to do. Three of the biggest obstacles with regulating the ai that come to my mind are:
- Regulators may be not up to date with advancements in ai and it's potential
- Regulations may be done in such a way to help big corporations
- Ai is advancing so fast that it becomes difficult to even predict how it will affect our society in the next 5-10 years
Edit: I'm not saying that private uses of ai should be regulated when it doesn't affect anyone.
