I assume it wasn't all at once, it must have taken at least a day or two.

Well, three isn't entirely out of the question.
It says she was surprised by how much excess milk she produced for her first kid. Looking at the numbers, "surprise" might've been an understatement.
It was over 14 years, which still comes out to half a liter per day.
