PETALING JAYA: Muda will be fielding UK-trained lawyer and climate change advocate Abe Lim in the urban Bandar Utama seat in Selangor, which was won by Pakatan Harapan (PH) with a thumping majority in the last state election.
You’re overextending there buddy with all due respect
Disregarding the fact that it’s well within my prerogative to vote for whomever I wish, for whatever reason, giving some random stranger an unsolicited lecture because they compliment someone for being chio/attractive is disrespectful :/
You would have a point if I say I don’t want to vote for her because of [insert protected attribute ie. sex/gender identity]. Now that is dehumanising and sexist. To be sexist one has to firstly, discriminate an individual’s attributes in other words.
Look idk you, but do you get upset when people say you’re chio?
It is somewhat condescending in this context where she's running for a political position. Like telling somebody they're cute when they bring up X idea instead of considering the idea itself...
Then I would prefer if that person call me out for that, not call me out for being “sexist” and “dehumanising” ☠️ and may I clarify - please don’t put words in my mouth when I have made it very clear that there is no malicious intention from my end. Understood?
You do realise we live in a country whereby people are voting based on religion and race right? And somehow you two think voting someone based on their appearance is anymore shallow and wrong lol.
Politics and virtue signalling aside, real talk she is indeed very chio. This is my subjective opinion. Peace…
Look idk you, but do you get upset when people say you’re chio?
Yes, I do, especially when I am not looking for those remarks, even if they may be compliments. Unwanted attention is unwanted. I'm more than just a pretty face.
It might be a gender thing, but it can be seen as micro aggression against women. I don't like the term "beauty and brains" because it seems to signal that women who are beautiful are expected to be intellectually inferior and vice versa, but being both is a rarity. Maybe you don't mean any harm, seeing that it's very deeply ingrained behaviour, but we can be better.
