Did everyone in the 80s own one of these?

I had one of these in the bathroom and would listen to the radio while I curled my hair.

I had mine in the 90s when I moved out on my own the first time. That said, pretty sure it was a charity-shop purchase.
- They are still thrift store purchases. I've seen some recently. They don't die.
