Have you never visited a national park or monument?? They're one of the greatest aspects about America. Do you think all the monuments in DC are a waste of tax payer money? Should we just scrap them all and put up more McDonalds and subway restaurants? I mean what a fucking clown ass response that is.
Millions of people from outside the US travel here to see our national parks and monuments. It's an incredible return on investment.
You don't think they are spending money making like a statue, right? Monument in this case just means protecting a plot of land from future development.
