Emphasis on player development? —- SI on Drako Rajaković head coach announcement June 13th. — What are this community’s thoughts?
I’d be interested to get a conversation going on the future direction of the Raptors now that Masai’s plan is becoming more transparent.
Personally, I was discouraged and disappointed to see player development neglected since 2021. Nurse’s focus on the front bench and emphasis on punishing weak showings over giving developing players the minutes needed to make adjustments, became a real turnoff for me.
I’m actually looking forward to summer league again for the first time in a few years.

I was just wondering about the direction the team might go in. I don't see Masai being onboard with a full rebuild but he does need to address the shortcomings in the shooting department and I'm guessing OG is the best chip he can use to do it. The coaching hire seems like a renewal of the belief that talent has to be fostered from within since we'll never be free agent attraction.
