I would like to build a streaming pc. It should be a streaming PC on which you stream 1080p content via twitch without a camera. Beside this it should record gameplay (1080p) and do video editing (1080p). I already have a PC for the games. The question is, can I realize my project with an AMD APU (AV1 hardware encoding)? Are there already AMD APUs that support AV1? If so, can you recommend one? I would like to do without a GPU, as the PC should be as small as possible for space reasons and I am thinking of a Mini-ITX build. I don't want to run 4k content now or in the near future.
I'm not entirely sure but use a 8500G or better. Just make sure it's a 8000 series and ends with a G. There is a 8300G but it looks like you want video edit on this this PC so it would probably be better to at least have the 6 core.

RDNA2 = AV1 decode
RDNA3 = AV1 decode/encode
Intel 11th gen = AV1 decode
Intel 14th gen = AV1 decode/encode
I can't find anyone doing such a thing so You could face compatibility problems with either your streaming program or your video editing program not recognizing that your CPU has Hardware accelerated video encoding.
If you want me to answer any other questions, just ask.
Just to make sure this is recording gameplay of the other computer, right? because this has been written with the specific recommendations under the assumption that you're only recording with this computer and using a different setup to actually play games.
Ah thanks for your info! I think the compatibility issues will be another brick for me especially using linux as OS. And yes, it records content on my gaming system only
