KSP: Former Leitchfield police officer facing rape, sexual abuse charges of teen girl

LEITCHFIELD, Ky. — A former police officer has been arrested on rape and sexual abuse charges involving a teenage girl.

According to Kentucky State Police, they were notified by the Leitchfield Police Department of an internal investigation involving one of their police officers.

During the investigation, KSP detectives said 27-year-old Jeremy Wright had sex with a 17-year-old girl, on Saturday, July 22, in Bardstown, Kentucky.
