Looking to bring in extra mods as content grows.

If anyone is interested in helping moderate, please let me know by replying to this post.

I am expecting an influx of users after July 1st. Right now there is not a high amount of content to deal with, so I am winging it.

I need assistance with drawing up rules and governing the community. If you moderated a similar sub on Reddit prior to the exodus please message me.

  • I don't have previous experience as a moderator but I do have a (personal, professional and educational) interest in the topic and would be happy to play a role in growing and maintaining this community.

    • Yep same here, will make you a mod right now, just trying to figure out how🙂

      Thanks, I appreciate the assistance

      Update: done!

      • Ah, hmm. Not sure if this works actually as I'm on kbin and I forgot this was a Lemmy community - not sure if you can moderate interoperably?

        • Ah ok, I’ll have a research over the weekend see what’s what on that. Probably right though. I’ll leave it in place for now till we get a definite answer, but also you could always join us here at feddit.uk 🙂no pressure though

          • I did actually set up a Lemmy account with feddit but due to a (known) bug I've been unable to log in to it or reset the password since the first time I logged out. So I then set up yet another temporary account until the first could be fixed, although in practice I've been using Kbin as my primary.

I think I'm more likely to stick with Kbin for now - although who knows, may depend on how things pan out with them both. You could always stick my backup Lemmy account ([email protected]) down but I'm using that more infrequently so may not be the most reliable mod addition - but while the community remains small I can perhaps still help you out a bit.

    • Let’s chat next week about what rules we need to put in place for the sidebar, some obvious ones I can think of but you may have some thoughts you want to share on this. Again thanks for the help!
