the original dev of timeshift retired. so Linuxmint is the new maintainer..
please consider switching the source thank you

From what I can tell, Pop!_OS does not ship their own version of timeshift. Instead, it comes directly from Ubuntu. So if there is a change in maintainers, it should be reported to Ubuntu:
They are in sync with the new maintainers (LM). Their latest build is from 2024.07, which coincides with what LM has in their repos.
