The only issue I could see with hockey is that they're giving the inmates extremely sharp blades with their skates. But as we all see it's a Conservative MP so it's always lies after lies.
I am not sure what 'pickup hockey ' is exactly (I tried Google, but I just got sports gambling sites), but it's likely closer to street hockey. I can't imagine a prison would have or maintain an ice rink, while street hockey can be played on any patch of space.
