  • Can anyone tell me how much packaging material Ikea generally use with their products? I've got a bunch of things coming on Saturday and am wondering how much packaging I'm going to end up wrangling.

    • the necessary cardboard. barely any filler.

      • Awesome. I can use some extra cardboard to go under some mulch in the garden to keep the weeds down in a few spots πŸ™‚

        • I think you said lots of shelves? Plenty big cardboard! Grab some U pins and you’re done with mulch for the year.

    • Lots of flattish cardboard, some strapping, the occasional foam corner. Plastic bags on any fabric stuff usually have recycle bin appropriate numbers on them.

      • That is good to hear, I was a bit worried I'd signed myself up for a bin full of plastics.
