How does it work if I come across an abandoned community (with a great name)? Can the owners/mods be modified, like on Reddit?
I think the admins of the instance can replace the mods, like on reddit. For instance the admins of lemmy.ml transferred the /c/[email protected] community to one of the reddit mods, so that they could get an official presence there.
