Eh, probably more cuz Lemmy is honestly not the most stable thing. I'd rather be on Twitter and gather stuff myself than Reddit when u/spez doesn't respect his users an inch lol. At least Musk, with all his absolutely horrendous things, doesn't literally take over subs and force things to go his way โ he just rigs votes and ignores their results :p
I would love to also be off the Xitter but with Romano etc. on there it's kinda impossible to... not like Reddit. Twitter-types are more about the people than the subject I find, and that's something Mastodon simply isn't able to replicate cuz the journalists, the company mouthpieces, the random ITKs etc. just aren't there. Whereas with like Lemmy idc who any of you guys are so long as this is about Arsenal lol.
Lemmy still has a long ways to go. We'll be seeing more problem like the CSAM one as we grow, but no way I'll return to Reddit.
Feels like we need some backup plan, like a matrix room or something, if our community ever gets targeted.
