Just got a full refund on something I disputed via PayPal, with no request for the return of the item in question. I guess it's mine to deal with now? Not sure if that's a good or bad thing. Slight increase in hassle, but also the chance to sell and get some benefit from the hassle. So I guess that counts as a win.
I bought some cheap ass ball winders for yarn and I got a partial refund I think and they sent one out (because they kept breaking on me) and I didn't need to send it back or anything.
I ended up throwing them out because... What was I going to do with them.
At least this has value so can be sold - I'll probably wait a bit to check if they follow up for a return, but they have just refunded the money through PayPal without requesting return first. I suspect they want to just close off the whole thing and pretend it never happened, as it is an electical item that came with a 15amp plug (info said 10 amp) and their first offer was to refund me $35 to have another plug put on. I pointed out that would be illegal/unsafe and got a full refund with no further comment.
