I'll not forgive Amazon for what they did to this show. They deserve to sit with their mess.
What did they do to The Expanse?
Massive budget cuts (compare the last couple of seasons with the first few) and then they skipped the end of the story without even finishing the last season.
The good news is that the books are excellent and I highly suggest them if you haven't had the chance to read them.
Those first couple of seasons though...
I was told it was due to the 30 year time skip between books 6 and 7, which made perfect sense. I really think they should have cut out a lot of stuff from the last season though if there were no plans to resolve it.
I don't think this is a popular opinion but I 100% agree. I was stoked when the show got picked back up, but in retrospect I'd almost rather they just ended after 3. The books are better regardless, but the first three seasons are such a good adaptation, and then the next three have so many glaring problems and bad script & editing choices.
