Backup Plans if Lemmy.ml domain gets reclaimed
Hi all,
As you may or may not know, .ml domains may be getting seized by the Mali government. As such, we may need to launch the community on another instance. Here's a few options I've considered:
- Lemmy.world - The "big" instance besides lemmy.ml. Although the Fediverse is supposed to be distributed.
- Midwest.social - I don't think many people would consider Louisville "South" unlike other parts of Kentucky.
- Launching mylem.alachian.app - I'll be running a server for another project here soon and I can throw this one up as well. Although, it'll be a trial by fire
- Some other instance
What do you all think?

Check out LFPL events!
Tonight I went to a book discussion sponsored by LFPL, had a really good time!
I initially heard about it at the St Matthews branch, but found a list of events for all libraries across the city (searchable by category too).
You can find LFPL events here. Definitely recommend checking them out if you're bored, or looking to get involved in something.
