An open source synthesizer I'm working on.
Open to critiques from any design experts, I'm just an engineering student. I've got a website for the project, https://www.unrestrictedinstrumentworks.com , and a few more renders, https://imgbox.com/g/4XNOa34EWX

Has anyone tried getting into Red Dot awards? How did it go?
Red Dot is an annual design award, and winning one seems to provide a great boost to one’s career.
But has anyone here tried to apply? They have steep entry pricing for something barely guaranteed, so I wanted to get some insights.
To anyone who has tried applying, have you received any suggestions from the judges board? How was the communication with the board? How significant was the difference between applying early vs late?
Or, have you come across any interviews that discuss any of these topics?
What do tou think about similar design awards in general?

The Continuity of Splines
YouTube Video
Probably the best and most comprehensive video about why curvature continuity is so important in product design, what causes those “bumps” on the edges of regularly rounded rectangles, and why it all works as it works.

One of my favourite websites for mindless inspiration-scrolling — leManoosh. What’s yours?
lemanoosh.com Industrial Design Trends, Jobs and Online Courses - leManooshleManoosh is an industrial design blog to learn and be inspired. You'll find the latest trends in the industrial product design industry and online courses from industry leaders.
It’s a Pinterest-like infinite image gallery that posts various interesting industrial design-related images without any needless articles and all that. Everything is pretty well-tagged in case you’re looking for something specific.

To start off, I’d like to share a personal industrial design project from a while ago: a concept of what a semi-pro camera system for smartphones might look like
Intended mainly as a thought experiment — I tried to come up with a seamless and easy to use system with various accessories, like lenses, filters and blinds, that wouldn’t feel clunky.
